Hey folks! It’s been an insanely busy week, so this will be much shorter than a usual post. Also, I’ll be combining my Friday link love to this entry as well.

First off, the Easter Bunny came and sent me Kanban! By Easter Bunny, I mean amazon.com. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this game since first playing it back in December. But before I write about it, I have to get more familiar with it and have a few more games under my belt. It took about 2 hours (with various interruptions) for my friend to explain this game to us newbies. It’s pretty heavy, in my opinion. I’m so excited to play this again!

We all created voices for our wizard!
Cast spells and take down other wizards!

I had some friends over at the beginning of this week, which was a lot of fun. But, I got so wrapped up in being a great host that I totally forgot to take photos of our games. We ended up playing  Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre, Splendor, One Night Ultimate Werewolf and Concept. I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun Epic Spell Wars was. I also noticed that it’s the same company that made Food Fight Card Game, which I got at last year’s White Elephant. I have yet to open Food Fight but will probably do so next time I have some free time.

I also got in another 5-player game of Terra Mystica, which I won as the Nomads. Woohoo! The game took nearly 4 hours though, as there were 5 of us playing and one of the people was new. I always love playing it though, no matter how many folks there are.

And now, a quick version of Friday link love.

— I seriously couldn’t stop laughing at this game Moniker, which is reviewed by Shut Up & Sit Down. I must get this for next game night!

— Daily Worker Placement talks about the rise of quality board-game apps on Android. I love this, as my cell phone is an Android.

When is a 5-player game not for 5 players, Reddit asks. Terra Mystica is mentioned in this thread.

Asmodee to buy BGG. Heheh, this was posted on April 1.

Happy gaming, and happy Easter!
