How is it March already?

Wow, where did February go? And how is it that it feels like the holidays were just yesterday? Well, here we are in March, and I haven’t been blogging as much I had hoped to. As I mentioned on Instagram, I got a new job early February, and my entire schedule has been non-stop and action-packed! With a bit of board gaming in there, naturally. So here’s a few things I was up to last month, and a few goals for March …

Tricking out my Trickerion game with Meeple Realty

I love Trickerion so much that I purchased a wooden insert from Meeple Realty while I was at BGG Con in November. I just got around to building it. I actually started two weeks ago and realized that the set I had purchased was missing wooden sheets. I emailed the Meeple Realty folks, and they quickly sent me what I was missing. Love it when a company has great customer service!

Top 10 games I played for the 1st time in 2016

We’re almost at the end, folks! 2016 is coming to a close. Guys, I’m totally having BGG Con withdrawal!! I had such a fabulous time, and I just want to spend another 5 glorious days of just board gaming. This past BGG Con was my third one I’ve attended. I think back to how I went to BGG Con for the first time in 2014 ALL BY MYSELF and didn’t know a single soul, to how busy I was this year gaming and hanging out with people. I feel eternally grateful for finding great friends who are obsessed about this hobby as I am.

I remember telling local friends three years ago what I was going to do, and they were like, you’re going on vacation by yourself and doing what for how many days?!? Turns out, it was one of the best things I’ve ever did, as it allowed me to jump straight into the deep end of the hobby. And I can’t wait to see where this hobby takes me.

Trickerion: Finally off my Shelf of Shame

One fewer board game is off my Shelf of Shame. For those unaware, the Shelf of Shame is what we call board games that have never been played and have been sitting on your shelves forever. Sad little games, hoping that one day they’ll get picked up and put on table.

That such game is Trickerion: Legends of Illusion.
